As an active partner of the EU Horizon Europe project PATAFEST, Europatat attended the second consortium meeting that was organised in Vitoria, Spain on 30 and 31 January 2024. The meeting brought together project partners who presented their progress and discussed future plans with a clear vision towards achieving the project’s goals.

PATAFEST aims at protecting potato plants by means of pest spreading and resistance characterisation, pre-harvest treatments, and post-harvest solutions. In this occasion, NEIKER and UDAPA held the second in-person consortium meeting of the project, which had as objective to monitor the current work being done in the different work packages and to discuss next steps in order to reach the first outcomes of the research.

During the sessions, participants addressed key action points that will significantly influence the progress of the PATAFEST project. These discussions were marked by a spirit of cooperation, as partners worked together to overcome challenges and move forward towards project’s main objectives.

In addition to the intensive working sessions on the first day of the meeting, PATAFEST’s consortium members also had the opportunity to visit the facilities of NEIKER and UDAPA on the second day. This first-hand experience not only provided insights into the hosts’ activities but also fostered stronger connections among consortium members.

PATAFEST now embarks on a next phase of the project with a renewed enthusiasm and a clear vision towards achieving its goals.
