Europatat and Fedepom are excited to announce the opening of registrations for the annual Europatat Congress that will take place at the Hôtel Barrière in Lille (France) on 11, 12 and 13 June 2025. Under the theme “Potato leaders of the future: deciding under uncertainty”, the Europatat Congress will serve once again as a pivotal platform for Europatat members and other stakeholders in the European potato sector to evaluate current trends and explore how industry leaders can navigate challenges in an ever-evolving political, environmental and social landscape.
On Wednesday 11 June, Europatat members will review the different activities of the association during the meetings of its five Commissions (consumption potatoes, seed potatoes, sustainability, technical and regulatory issues, and RUCIP), which will count with the presence of external speakers to be announced. These meetings are only accessible to Europatat members and sponsors.
On the next day, Tuesday 12 June, the Congress will kick off with the Europatat General Assembly, an exclusive session reserved for Europatat members. At 11:30h, the doors will officially open to all participants, including FEDEPOM members, representatives from international and French institutions, journalists, and other distinguished guests.
We are honored to welcome Mr. Patrick Baudry, renowned former French astronaut and keynote speaker, who will share his extraordinary experiences and draw compelling parallels between leadership in space exploration and decision-making under uncertainty.
Following the keynote speech, participants will engage in an insightful panel discussion titled “The French table potato market and its impact on the rest of Europe”, bringing together professionals from across the potato value chain and European countries. Later in the afternoon, FEDEPOM members will convene for their general meeting.
To reinforce the networking and contact among the European potato community, the Europatat Congress will also offer different social events such as the traditional Europatat’s Gala Dinner on Thursday 12 June at the wonderful Opera Lille and an optional visit to the Port of Dunkirk on Friday 13 June.
