The concern regarding food sustainability along the whole supply chain has been increasing in the political agenda in the past years. There is a need to secure a fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly food system, a message that the potato sector fully endorses.
The “Farm to Fork Strategy” will set out the regulatory and non-regulatory measures needed to create more efficient and climate-smart systems that provide healthy and sustainable food. Given the fact that Europatat members will be directly concerned by this upcoming strategy, the Association has contributed to the consultation launched by the European Commission on the roadmap of the Farm to Fork Strategy.
