On 7 and 8 September, Europatat travelled to Germany to attend PotatoEurope Germany 2022 at the Rittergut Bockerode in Springe-Mittelrode (near Hanover). After a forced break due to Covid-19, the event was once again a successful meeting place for potato professionals from Europe and abroad.
Around 8,000 visitors from 65 countries were present at PotatoEurope Germany 2022. Europatat used this occasion to meet with many of its members to discuss important topics on the current potato’s agenda such as this year’s potato harvest, market situation and the influence of extreme climate conditions, but also about trade and sustainability following the recently creation of a Europatat Sustainability Commission.
Europatat was also in contact with other stakeholders, potential new members and sponsors in order to continue its mission as the single voice for the potato trade in Europe. In total, Europatat currently counts 16 national associations, 42 companies and 6 associated members that represent 20 countries in Europe.
Next key date in the potato calendar: Fruit Attraction 2022 in Madrid (Spain). See you there!
